Colors
Four colors carry the program. They go by the trade names US distributors use, so you can match them against what you already stock; your own item names go on the packing list. Every color comes vein-cut or cross-cut, in either grade.
Ivory
also sold as Light
Cream to pale beige, even, low movement.
Common on US pool decks, as is Silver.
Silver
Gray with white and taupe banding; vein-cut shows the bands, cross-cut clouds them.
The only gray of the four.
Noce
Walnut in its darker selections
Nut brown with warm variation.
Sold as Noce or Walnut; range samples cover both.
Classic
also sold as Country Classic
Mid beige with mixed movement, the widest natural range.
Usually the lower price point of the four.

- Gold
- Warm yellow-beige. Fewer mills cut it; allow a longer lead time.
- Rustic mixed-tone
- Ivory, beige and rust in one lot, on purpose. Mainly ledger and mosaics.
Color and vein vary between blocks, which is what range samples are for. We send current-lot photographs with every sample request. Red travertine and onyx are not part of the program.
Vein-cut or cross-cut
The same block, sawn two ways. Sawn across the bedding, travertine shows its bands in straight, directional lines. Sawn along the bedding, the bands open into a softer, clouded face.
Name the cut on your request; the range samples come in that cut.

- Directional; lay it with the bands running one way.
- Cross-cut
- Non-directional; lays in any orientation, which suits a French pattern.
Grades
The same color sells at two price points in the US, and the difference is the grade. The quote names the grade, and the shipment is checked against the approved range samples and that grade before the container is sealed.
- Premium Select
- Tight color range within the approved range samples, small and few voids, full fill on filled items, first-quality calibration and edges.
- Standard
- Wider color range and more surface movement, larger voids allowed on unfilled items. Sound stone at a lower price; the usual commercial grade.
Forms, sizes and thicknesses
Nominal sizes in inches, metric in brackets. A first container is usually a mix of these forms in one color from one mill. Anything outside this list is cut to order. Tell us the size and we will price it.

Thickness is the trade nominal: 1¼ in is cut as 3 cm, 2 in as 5 cm, ½ in as 12 mm. Calibration tolerance is stated in the quote. A 2 in paver weighs about two-thirds more than a 1¼ in paver, which is why the container figures below matter.

French pattern, also called Versailles
The standard travertine set in the US market: four sizes laid to make a repeating 48 × 48 in module. Offered as tumbled 1¼ in pavers and as ½ in tile.

Test data and documents
The specification a US specifier names for this program is ASTM C1527. The numbers behind it are ASTM C97 absorption, C170 compressive strength, C99 and C880 bending strength and C241 abrasion.
For a pool deck or any wet floor, ask for wet DCOF under ANSI A326.3 and the product use classification that applies, Exterior Wet (EW) outdoors, tested on the finish you are buying. A tumbled and a honed tile from the same block do not test the same.
Where a mill's report exists and names the mill, we either commission the test in our own name at an independent laboratory or share the existing report under a confidentiality agreement. We hold no certificates of our own.
Packing and weight
Wooden crates on pallets, strapped and corner-protected, every crate ISPM-15 marked. The packing list states square feet and pounds per crate. Crates carry your marks and item codes if you want them to. The practical minimum per item in a mixed container is one crate.
At the US highway limit (38,000–44,000 lb), a 20 ft container holds about 2,400–3,100 sq ft of 1¼ in pavers or about 1,450–1,900 sq ft of 2 in pavers and coping.
Travertine weighs about 6 lb per sq ft at ½ in, 14–15 lb at 1¼ in and 24–26 lb at 2 in.

Send these and our first reply can be a price:
- Color and grade, or a photo of what you stock now.
- Form, size and thickness, from the table above.
- Finish and edge.
- Quantity, in square feet, square meters or containers; for coping and treads, in linear feet.
- Delivery point, your port or your yard, and when you need it.
We quote in US dollars, FOB from a Turkish port under Incoterms 2020 by default, CIF or DAP on request. The quote states the price basis, packing, lead time and payment terms in writing. Prices are not published: they move with the selection, the block and the freight market.
