About Meydan

What we are

We are an Istanbul sourcing and export company with no quarry or mill of our own: we find the mill for each item, check the goods before they ship and prepare the export file. We buy from the mill and sell to you under our own name, so the contract, the invoice and the bill of lading are ours.

Meydan Building Materials is the business name of a limited company registered in Istanbul, Türkiye, founded in 2023. The contracting entity, its registry number and tax ID appear on every quotation and invoice, and we confirm them by email on request. We are three people, and two of us will deal with you directly. Goods ship from the mill to your port, so we keep no warehouse or sales office in the US.

Why a Turkish sourcing partner

The Turkish supply base is fragmented. Quarry owners, processors and trading companies all describe themselves the same way online, and the company named on a customs record is often a freight forwarder, not the mill that cut the stone. Sorting that out from another continent, in another language and time zone, is slow and expensive. We do that sorting for you.

It is also why our first answer to a new inquiry is a set of questions: a quote made without knowing the selection is a guess.
